Azerbaijan

You used to be able to get a hotel reservation instead of an invite. Book into a 5* hotel, get the visa, and then cancel the booking without charge. Is this still possible?

Filling out the form

Section 8: write “tourism”
Section 9: write “I am financing my stay with cash and credit cards”
Section 10: Leave this section blank
Section 12: tick the “national” box, unless you have a diplomatic passport.
Section 14: For UK passports put “UKPA” For other nationalities check your passport.
Section 15: “validity” means expiry date.
