Uzbekistan

Reports suggest that LOI (letters of Invitation) are now required. [MORE INFORMATION REQUIRED]

Filling out the application form

Section 5: Passport type should be written in your passport. If not just put “ordinary”
Section 8: write “tourism”
Section 10: write “1”
Section 11: Leave blank
Section 12: List a hotel from the internet. Probably wise to choose one in the capital. Spend a bit of time finding one that you might actually stay in. You don’t have to stay here but it makes your application form look better if you don’t just stick the first 5* hotel you find down.
Section 13: only list one or two major cities. For example “Samarqand, Tashkent”

Driving Permit?

I noticed that on the RAC website there isnt the option to apply for an international driving permit for Uzbekistan but it says to contact to embassy if driving in Uzbekistan.  Does anyone know if you need something similar to an internation driving permit for Uzbekistan?

 Thanks
